Well guys, it’s been a hot minute. I mean, really, it’s been a year. As you can see, I’ve reorganized a bit. I went through some pretty significant changes since November of 2019, and I have spent this time really trying to figure myself out–not to mention, trying to figure out this weird world we now live in.
If you’ve listened to my podcast, you know a lot of my point of view on this whole pandemic. I had said, once upon a time, that I liked to be on the sidelines watching things happen. I have watched the political arena make a complete embarrassment of itself, honestly. The amount of corruption, greed, and evilness in our political system is astounding–not to mention the INFORMATION OVERLOAD happening. I almost feel sheepish creating content right now, as it seems it is doomed to spiral down into the 24 hour abyss of our social media news feeds…and I actually feel somewhat annoying trying to grab your attention, ya know?
So I’d better make it interesting, then. Well, I can tell you on a personal note, I’ve had one of the most interesting years of my life…and I’m pretty sure it’s about to get even more interesting?
As you may or may not know, I love acid. THERE. I said it. But if you know me, this is not news…I literally says this pretty frequently. Actually, I’m fairly sure you get it by now, as if my whole persona doesn’t at least hint towards it. But the thing is, I am feeling rather confident that there is a revolution at hand.
The first psychedelic revolution started in the 60’s, yeah? So it’s been sixty years, which is just fun, and now there is this resurgence of interest in the psychology field. Did you know that the company, Optimi, is partnering with the University of Calgary to grow psilocybin for studies?! Like…get out. the best part about it is that now all the investors want in. And now that none of us can travel anywhere without extreme consequence, turns out travelling in your own mind is now a seemingly better option. Go figure.
Not only is there a psychedelic revolution happening AGAIN, there is also an entire global revolution happening too! Unfortunately this war is not limited to Vietnam…no, unfortunately, it has everything to do with China…AKA, the world’s industrial zone that enslaves and commits genocide on it’s people and actually owns large portions of multiple industries in other global superpowers? Yeah.
Honestly…I tapped out of their garbage awhile ago. I am currently focused on my local community now, more than ever. And I’ve taken a real look at things. Demographics, political leanings, markets, our drug epidemic…and I’ve made it my mission to understand who people are, what they want, and what they need.
I want to make things happen here, truly I do. During our slew of suicides in 2020, I asked myself why. We painted a mural downtown, “There is a Hope and a Future,” and I asked myself what future? The future is a source of anxiety for many, and I would argue MOST. Without a future, we fall apart. I have spent this year envisioning a brighter future and I am so ready to do the work involved to create it. I am writing this to provide anyone reading this at least a small glimmer of hope as well. I also want to inspire you to reach out with your vision so that I can help you cultivate it. We are all farmers…and the fields we are nurturing are going to be the harvest we sow for our lives.
It’s clear to me that the majority of people do not have a vision for the future and that the one they do see unfolding is dire. If only everyone would get the vaccine and follow the rules, then we all could go back to normal. If only, if only. I truly don’t think that’s going to happen, and I also really don’t think that the world will ever go back to normal. The consequences of this are extreme, but that is, perhaps, another post.
In the meantime, there are those that have also thought about these things and came to the conclusion that they could also create something–a product or a service that might make our world a little more beautiful, and I love that. I have really high hopes for our community, despite whatever divide seems to be out there.
I suppose that concludes my message for tonight, thanks for hangin out ❤
